Bruce & Tambrala

About the Proprietors of The Vineyards Bed and Breakfast

Our journey to The Vineyards Bed and Breakfast began one cold, Midwestern winter evening as we sat at the fireplace, sipping our Pinot Noir and asking ourselves why we continued to endure bitter winters. As the wine flowed, we became even more prophetic with our questions: Why do we continue with the daily work grind? Where would we most like to live? What new career path could we take when we moved? Are we brave enough to give up our comfortable lifestyle and take the plunge?… You get the picture. The beginning of a wonderful new adventure had been born! Bruce gave up his job as an IT manager and Tambrala resigned from a 19-year School Psychology career (as well as her Wedding Coordinator business) and chose the most amazing place to move the family: Page Springs, Arizona just outside of Sedona.

As people who love to travel, we visited Sedona often and had fallen in love with the beauty and versatile adventures that the area has to offer (not to mention the awesome year-round weather). Our favorite thing to do while vacationing is to find a Bed & Breakfast for lodging. We love meeting people from interesting places and it is so much fun to find that ‘common thread’ that seems to exist in all of our lives during breakfast conversations. Oh, and not just any breakfast, but a family-style, home-cooked breakfast that leaves you not wanting to eat again until dinner. Often, our hosts would comment on the fact that we would be wonderful B&B hosts due to our social natures and love of B&Bs. Voila, our new career path (and not to mention that Tambrala always wanted to be Julie the cruise director from The Love Boat – showing her age, we know).

As your cruise director, Tambrala can assist you with personalized wine expeditions, fun girls’ getaways, shopping excursions, hiking adventures, ..… or coordinate a dream-come-true wedding in a magical location. As people who LOVE music, we want to do everything to make sure our home is filled with music, which is why we have a piano and guitars for our guests to use during their stay. Don’t be surprised if Bruce pulls out his guitar at the tiki bar and convinces you to join in on a jam session. Yes, we have a tiki bar at the pool to mimic that tropical beach feeling that we love so much on our beach vacations. Our goal is to offer amazing memories filled with good friends, good food, music, ‘tropical’ breezes, unforgettable Southwest experiences and gracious Midwest hospitality. We are excited to share our home with guests from all corners of the world and invite you to experience everything that The Vineyards Bed and Breakfast has to offer.
