Experience Verde Valley Wineries from the Comfort of Our Wine Trail Wagon

Definition of Expedition:  ex·pe·di·tion  (ĕk′spĭ-dĭsh′ən) n. A journey undertaken by a group of people with a definite objective. As we introduce our guests to 20-plus Verde Valley wine tasting rooms, as well as the charm of Old Town Cottonwood and Clarkdale, our “definite objective” is to provide:

  • An exciting expedition to thoroughly enjoy the Northern Arizona Wine Trail with a host/driver that knows the history of the trail, allows you to explore the trail at your leisure and serves as your designated driver so you can enjoy the many delicious wine without the worry of driving!
  • A scientific expedition to the wineries/wine tasting rooms to determine the best wines for your individual palates and to have FUN:)
  • A budget friendly expedition when compared to ‘wine tour’ companies.

The Vineyards B&B is proud to introduce our Wine Trail Wagon. The inspiration for the name of our comfortable 6 passenger SUV came from two interesting facts:

  1. Page Springs Road is home to many working vineyards and three amazing Wineries on the Verde Valley Wine Trail. Of the over 23 wine trail tasting rooms, only five are actual wineries with acres of vineyards on the tasting room property AND four of those wineries are right here! The Wine Trail continues into Old Town Cottonwood, through Clarkdale and then up the mountain to Jerome.
  2. Our B&B is located on Historic Page Springs Road in beautiful Page Springs Arizona. In the late 1800’s, Page Springs Road was a rough wagon trail, but by the early 1900’s it became a trade route for pioneer farmers who sold produce to miners in Jerome, soldiers at Fort Verde, markets in Phoenix, and from roadside farm stands at home and as far away as Route 66 near Flagstaff. The road follows Oak Creek along the same route it has followed for over 100 years. Page Springs Road is a lasting symbol of a pioneer time in a rural place, reflecting the community’s history while also providing a passage to the future.
